Building the Brain from the Bottom up

Building the Brain From the Bottom Up

Functional Therapy for Neurobehavioral Disorders

  • Reflex Integration

Primitive reflexes are automatic movement patterns present in infancy that should naturally fade as a child’s nervous system matures. When these reflexes remain active, they can interfere with focus, coordination, posture, learning, and emotional regulation.

  • Sensory Integration

Sensory integration is the process by which the brain organizes and interprets input from the senses—touch, sound, sight, movement, and more—so we can respond appropriately to the world around us. When sensory processing is out of balance, it can show up as sensitivities, attention difficulties, motor challenges, or emotional regulation issues.

  • Hemispheric Integration

The brain’s two hemispheres each play unique roles, and optimal function depends on their ability to communicate and coordinate effectively. When one side becomes underactive or dominant, it can create imbalances that affect movement, focus, mood, and learning.

  • Photobiomodulation

Photobiomodulation uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to gently stimulate brain cells. This light penetrates tissue and interacts with mitochondria, enhancing cellular energy production, reducing inflammation, and supporting neuroplasticity.

  • Chiropractic and Manual Therapy

Improving spinal and joint alignment, reducing tension in the nervous system, and enhancing body awareness, these approaches help the brain and body communicate and move more effectively.

  • Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine looks deep- exploring nutrition, gut health, inflammation, toxins, hormones, and lifestyle factors that influence brain function and behavior. By using targeted lab testing, individualized nutrition, and natural interventions, Functional Medicine helps rebalance the body and support healthier brain chemistry instead of only addressing symptoms,

  • HBOT

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing concentrated oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber. This process increases oxygen delivery to tissues, stimulates healing, reduces inflammation, and supports brain and body repair at the cellular level.

  • Neurofeedack

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive brain training method that helps the nervous system self-regulate. Using real-time feedback from EEG brainwave activity, the brain learns to shift out of inefficient patterns and develop healthier rhythms. Over time, this can improve focus, sleep, mood, resilience to stress, and overall cognitive performance.

Our vision

Our vision is to empower children with neurobehavioral challenges to unlock their fullest potential by addressing the root causes of developmental imbalance. Through an intensive, evidence-informed program rooted in the Melillo Method and developmental functional neurology, we provide a structured yet nurturing environment where the brain can rewire, regulate, and grow. By integrating sensory, motor, and cognitive systems, we help children on the spectrum—and their families—experience breakthroughs in connection, learning, and daily life. We envision a world where every child is supported in building the neurological foundation they need to thrive.

NeuroRehab Intensives

Our intensives are designed for children and adults who need focused, personalized neurological care. Rather than spreading treatment out over months, we concentrate evidence-based therapies into a short period of time—accelerating progress and creating lasting change.

Treatment is delivered in 10 hours segments over 5 days. These modules can be repeated for 2 or 3 weeks. In this way, we are able to deliver months worth of care in a matter of days.
